Rock am Ring and Rock im Park are counting on SIS.event

The two leading German music festivals are going to cooperate with SIS Software for the 2018 editions of their events.

When tens of thousands of fans are celebrating their love for music at the "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" festivals from June 1 to June 3, 2018, the innovative digital crowd management system SIS.event will be deployed for the first time at those events. The technology is going to be integrated into the official event apps.

In the scope of traffic management, the system will be deployed in order to provide a hassle-free trip to the venues. In addition to that, the intelligent SIS messaging technology will be used to send targeted messages providing fans with information and advice directly on their smartphones. During the events, the crowd sensing component will enable the real-time analysis of crowd flow, to ensure that counter measures can be swiftly taken in case of potentially dangerous situations, such as congestions in critical areas. Again, SIS Messaging will be used to provide visitors with up-to-date information and potentially important instructions.

The Command component is going to be used to manage strategically important members of staff throughout the entire event duration. The safety and security coordinators will be able to see at all times, which types of staff are available at what location – and to control them efficiently with instructions. Additionally, members of staff can send multimedia reports to the command and control center, leading to a complete situational awareness about all relevant proceedings on the venue thanks to SIS.event.

For SIS Software, this cooperation marks another milestone in the company's history: after having already catered to a number of high-profile events in the Netherlands and the UK, SIS can now welcome two out of the three largest and most important German music festivals to its group of customers.
